The new Titan™ Skin Tightening gives you an all natural option to actively turn back the clock on aging skin. This procedure is now offered at the Aesthetic & Vein Center MD. Using light energy to stimulate new collagen growth deep beneath your skin’s surface, Titan™ can tighten skin on your face, arms, abdomen, and legs. It’s an ideal solution to enhance your youthful and healthy appearance without surgery and without downtime.

How does the Titan™ work?

Titan™ utilizes a safe, infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin’s surface. This heating can cause immediate collagen contraction. During the procedure, the skin’s surface (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling with the Titan™ hand piece. After the procedure, new collagen growth results in further tightening and the development of a more youthful complexion with less lines, folds or looseness of the skin.

The Titan™ Difference

Titan™ employs light energy which provides a more uniform distribution of energy for heating the deep dermis than other energy sources, such as RF (radiofrequency).

What areas respond best to the Titan™ procedure?

Patients at the Aesthetic & Vein Center MD and in other centers have been successfully treated on many areas of the body where skin is lax. Loose skin on the abdomen, back of the upper arm, along the jaw line, and under the chin have responded particularly well to the procedure.

Who can be treated?

Since the Titan™ procedure heats tissues under the skin’s surface, patients of any skin type can be treated. Men and women of all ages have been successfully treated. Our team of professionals at the Aesthetic & Vein Center MD, located in Salem, will advise you if the Titan™ skin tightening is right for you.

How many treatments will I need?

A single treatment has produced very good results for some of our patients. However, when you meet with us during your consultation, we will advise you as to the number and frequency of treatments recommended for your optimal results.

What happens after the treatment? Any side effects?

Immediately following the treatment, you may notice some redness and mild swelling in the treated area. Both should dissipate within a few hours. We will provide you with the complete information on the benefits and risks of Titan™ Skin Tightening.

When will I see results?

Some patients see results immediately. However, for most patients, the results are gradual over a three to six month period as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens.

What do treatments feel like?

With each Titan™ pulse, you will feel a brief heating sensation. Some patients are more comfortable taking a mild pain reliever beforehand. Many patients are comfortable without anything. Our laser specialist will advise you.

Has the Titan™ been tested and approved?

The Titan™ has been carefully studied in clinics around the world. It is cleared for the treatment of wrinkles in Europe and for general dermatologic use in Canada. In the US, it is cleared for topical heating to increase local tissue temperatures and circulation. An additional 510(k) clearance is pending in the US for the treatment of wrinkles.
